THE FOUR MAJOR TRENDS IN THE APPLICATION SCENARIOS OF THE INTERPRETER: HOW YINGMI

 News     |     October 27, 2025

Over the years, we have clearly noticed that the global demand for interpreters is no longer just "it needs to be audible". From China's 5A scenic spots to European museums, from Huawei's overseas factories to international exhibitions in Shanghai, people want solutions that are "usable anywhere, easy to operate, and available in any language". As a brand under Hefei Huima Information Technology Co., Ltd., Yingmi, since 2007, has focused on voice guided tours and has never pursued empty concepts; instead, it has only focused on these real needs to create products. Now let's talk to our overseas friends about how Yingmi uses technology and products to meet these demands in the new trends of interpreter scenarios.

Ⅰ. Trend 1: Scenarios are becoming more and more detailed, and "universal models" no longer work —— Yingmi's "one-scene-one-plan"

Previously, people thought that interpreters were only for scenic spots. But now that's not the case: in museums, the exhibits are crowded and close together, so there's a risk of interference; in factory workshops, the space is large and there's a risk of not being able to hear clearly; in study tours, it's inconvenient to share with companions, and there's a risk of not being able to use it easily. The pain points of different scenarios are too different, and a "one-size-fits-all" solution simply won't work.

Yingmi has long understood this and split out specialized products based on scenarios. Each model is targeted at a specific pain point:

Scenic spots and natural heritage: In open areas like Jiangsu Tianmu Lake and Chongqing Gongdian Ancient Town, tourists move around and stay for a long time, and our M7 automatic sensing guided tour machine is particularly suitable. It uses RFID-2.4G star distribution technology. When a visitor is within 0.5 to 35 meters of the scenic spot, they don't need to press any buttons, and the explanation will automatically play; the body is lightweight and has two headphone holes. Overseas tourists can share the explanation with friends when they visit together, and it can last for 24 hours, from morning to night. Many 5A scenic spots now use it, and it helps over 100,000 international tourists complete the guided tour of the scenic spots each year.

Museums and dense exhibits: In Chinese National Museum and Suzhou Museum, the calligraphy scrolls of Wen Zhengming and Tang Bo'e might be 1 meter apart. Ordinary interpreters would cause interference when approached. Our C7 touch-guided tour machine specifically solves this problem —— a small NFC tag is placed next to the exhibit, and when the C7 is gently touched, only the explanation for that item will play, without any confusion. If you visit an exhibition area with a broad space like the general history exhibition area, it can also automatically sense and doesn't need to switch modes repeatedly. During the special exhibition of the British Museum, they used C7 to solve the problem of dense exhibits' explanations.

International reception for enterprises: Huawei and Adidas receive overseas suppliers. The workshop is 200 meters long and may be visited by three or more teams. Ordinary interpreters either have signal disruptions or cause interference. Our E8 team-guided tour machine can reach a signal range of 280 meters and has 200 independent channels. German teams use channel 1 and Japanese teams use channel 5, and they don't interfere with each other. It also has SOC embedded digital noise reduction technology, which can filter out the noise from the machines in the factory, allowing suppliers to clearly hear "assembly accuracy of 5G base stations". Now Huawei's factories worldwide and Bentley's exhibitions all use E8 for reception.

Ⅱ. Trend 2: "Smart and convenient" is not just "able to speak" —— Yingmi's "help you handle the entire process"

Nowadays, not only do overseas users want to listen to explanations, but they also hope to rent conveniently, have better content, and have someone to take care of it when it breaks, without having to deal with manual work. In simple terms, they want "renting to using and then returning, all without worrying throughout the process".

Yingmi has been building this "intelligent system" for several years. All these are real functions, not gimmicks:

Self-service rental no waiting: When overseas tourists visit places like Gulangyu Island in Xiamen or the World Expo in Shanghai, they don't have to look for staff to rent audio guides. Our Z50 self-service rental cabinet supports payment via Visa and MasterCard. With a quick scan, they can get the equipment in just 2 minutes. When returning, just put it back, and the cabinet will automatically charge and disinfect using ultraviolet light, ensuring hygiene. Previously, a certain exhibition hall said that using the Z50 reduced the staff needed by half while increasing efficiency.
Content update without having to go to the site:

For museums hosting special exhibitions or enterprises updating technical explanations, there's no need to retrieve all the equipment to change the content. We have a cloud backend that allows remote updates. For example, during the "Special Exhibition of The Spring Festival Scroll" at the Palace Museum in 2023, we updated the new explanations to all devices within 24 hours, and overseas tourists could listen when they visited. Huawei provides customized content for different country suppliers, relying on this backend, saving a lot of effort.

Still exploring more cool interactions: Nowadays, everyone loves immersive experiences. We collaborated with iFLYTEK to develop a display and explanation system. In the future, when overseas tourists wear our devices to visit the Palace Museum, they might see a 3D model of the Taihe Hall through AR, and the explanations will follow the model, similar to "Entering History". There's also AI real-time translation. French tourists can ask questions in their native language, and the device can translate it into Chinese for the explainer, then convert the answer back into French. There's no need to switch between mobile apps.

Ⅲ. Trend Three: "Global Usability", not "Only in China" - Yingmi's "International Adaptation"

Overseas users care most about two things: whether they can listen in their own language and the reliability and security of the equipment. After all, if there's an issue abroad, and no one can repair it, it will be troublesome.

Yingmi started its business in foreign trade in 2009 and has incorporated "international adaptation" into its products from the beginning:

Multilingual features are not just for show: Our HM8.0 multilingual platform comes with 8 commonly used languages such as English, French, and Spanish, covering most overseas tourists. If you need less common languages like Dutch or Portuguese, they can be customized within 3 days. Last year, a Dutch study tour group went to Wuyishan, and we specially prepared a "Tea Production Process" explanation in Dutch, explaining things like "The Impact of Drying Temperature on Taste" clearly, and they said it was even clearer than what they heard in their own country.

Resistance to interference and stable signal: In crowded places like the Palace Museum or the World Expo in Shanghai, there are many signal interferences and radio waves. Our MC200 multi-channel system uses 4G FSK technology, which can withstand interference and won't cause noise when 10 teams are visiting together. In a previous international exhibition, groups from Southeast Asia, Europe, and Japan all used it, and each group could hear clearly without any complaints about noise.

Certification and guarantees are in place: All our products have passed EU CE and RoHS certifications, and they are safe for transportation to Europe and the Americas. Each device undergoes 5 tests, from the 1st to the 1 millionth, with no safety incidents. Ping An of China also insured the product liability. The Spanish Barcelona Museum and the Hungarian Budapest Tourist Area both chose to work with us after seeing these guarantees.

Ⅳ. Trend Four: "Light, Comfortable", and "Service Keeps Up" - Yingmi's "Details and After-sales"

When overseas tourists wear the audio guide for a day, if it's heavy or uncomfortable, the experience will be poor; if the equipment breaks and no one is responsible, the reception will fail. These "small things" actually have the greatest impact on the experience.

Yingmi has put a lot of effort into these details:

Light enough to barely feel: Our E8 head-mounted audio guide weighs only 16 grams, about the same as two credit cards; the K8 is even lighter, at 22 grams. All are non-intrusive designs. Even if you wear it for 4 hours while visiting a museum, it won't hurt your ears. It won't cause your ears to turn red like some other devices. The international study tour group from Beijing Foreign Studies University said that even after wearing it for a whole day, they didn't feel anything.

Batch management is effortless: Tourist attractions and enterprises use dozens of devices at a time, and charging and storage are troublesome. We have a 48-position contact charging box that can charge simultaneously and disinfect, eliminating the need to plug in one by one; there is also an aluminum alloy storage box that is shockproof and moisture-proof, and it won't break even when transported abroad. Staff can tell at a glance whether each device has enough power, and there's no need to waste time doing things in vain.

No worries about being unable to find a person for after-sales service: Our 9G service is not just empty promises. Before-sales consultation will definitely have someone respond in English within 90 seconds; if you urgently need the equipment, it can be delivered on the same day; after-sales service is even better; it comes with a lifetime warranty, and you can call 400-990-7677 at any time in English for customer service assistance. If the equipment needs to be repaired, it will definitely be fixed and sent back within 10 days, and you can also get a backup machine during this period without affecting overseas reception.

Conclusion: Yingmi is not "following trends", but "understanding needs".

Over the years, the changes in the interpreter scenarios have all revolved around "what overseas users want". Yingmi has been operating for 16 years and has never thought of following the trend to add fancy functions; instead, it has transformed each real demand in the trend into a button, a technology, or a service in the product. For example, if users are afraid of crosstalk, we will develop the C7 touch; if they are afraid of trouble when renting, we will develop the Z50 self-service; if they are afraid of language barriers, we will create 8 languages.

In the future, we will continue to explore the needs of overseas users, set offices in Europe and Southeast Asia, make the service closer; and also implement technologies such as AR to make the interpretation more interesting. Whether you are an operator of scenic spots, a receptionist of enterprises, or an exhibition organizer of museums, Yingmi wants to help you smoothly carry out international receptions - this is not empty talk; it is our consistent idea from the first 10,000th device to the 100th millionth device.
